After the whole ripping paper commercial, we (karma) convinced Vogelbescherming that animation wasn't that bad. And they let us make another. The next commercial had to revolve around there website. People could visit the site and watch birdnests through webcams while birds were breeding.

I came up with the concept of a hatching webcam. And we ended up animating it. Eventually VB wanted to ad real footage of birds to appeal more to the target audience. I don't think this made the message stronger, but in the end it turned out all right. I especially like the young bird ducking for the book at the end...

I was a bit disapointed by the whole hatching bit, I wanted to do the thing as cute and real as possible. We just couldn't find cool looking footage of a bird breaking free. It all kind off looked disgusting so we ended up having to do it all in 3d. The 3d animation of the webcam was done by Ralf Hekkenberg.
