3voor12 Music Non stop

A really great project to work on!

At Karma we did the entire Channel design for 3voor12, a Dutch Alternative Music channel. We based our concept on the wide range of different styles inspired by CD cover design. Each ident needed to have an interesting style inspired by the program. But the VPRO(the Dutch Broadcaster) gave us a lot of freedom in doing this. I ended up making 3 different idents.

Music Non Stop

This one started with an image of a cd cover I really liked. It reminded my of the kind of beads you placed on a grid as a child. And then ironing them, te get some kind of a melted together painting. Only this image was inverted, reminding me of splitting cells. I thought that was a cool metaphor for ever continuing music. Arno Natte made a small piece of music for our Karma showreel, which I though was too cool. We ended up using it for this.
