Holy Shit!

Idents for KRO program Holy Shit.

At Karma I made Idents for the program Holy Shit for Dutch production company Haagse Bluf! In which presenter Sebastiaan Labrie undergoes different forms of religion. Sometimes in a really extreme way. I saw some scenes where hooks got speared through cheeks, extreme forms of self-punishment, etc. Not everything repeated by the presenter, but still; heavy stuff.

Production

The concept (by Danny Smit) was to project different forms of religion onto the presenter and to capture the overwhelming impact of him witnessing/undergoing it all. I came in when there was an overall concept and the rough footage already shot. I ended up making the boards and the ident, which was a really cool process. Especially because the music, a really cool track made by Arno Natte, was already finished to start editing and animating on. I really love the end result. Especially because of the way the ident enters and flows directly into the program.
